Will I be asleep during hypnosis?
No. Hypnosis is not the same as sleep. You will generally remain aware of what is happening and able to communicate.
Can anyone be hypnotised?
Many people can experience hypnosis, although it varies from person to person. A willingness to take part and engage with the process is important. I will discuss suitability with you.
Will I lose control?
No. You remain able to choose what you do, communicate and ask to stop. Hypnotherapy is a collaborative process.
What if I can't relax?
That is completely okay. You do not need to reach a perfect state of relaxation or have a particular kind of personality. I will guide you at your own pace.
How quickly will I notice a change?
Everyone is different. Some people notice changes sooner than others, and I cannot guarantee a particular result. I will discuss realistic expectations and review progress with you.
Is hypnotherapy suitable for everyone?
No. It is not appropriate for every person or situation. I will discuss your circumstances and may suggest another kind of professional support where that would be more suitable.
Can I drive after hypnotherapy?
Please ask me before booking if driving or another safety-sensitive activity is part of your plans.
Is hypnotherapy confidential?
I will explain how I handle confidentiality and records, together with the professional, safeguarding and legal limits, before we begin.
Can you work under an NDA?
Yes. I work with high-profile and high-net-worth clients and can agree an NDA where appropriate. Any NDA must sit alongside professional, safeguarding and legal limits to confidentiality, which I will explain before we begin.
Do I need to believe in hypnosis for it to work?
You do not need a particular belief about hypnosis. An open mind and willingness to participate are generally more useful than a strong belief either way.
Can I stop a session at any time?
Yes. You remain in control and can ask to pause or stop at any point.
